Abstract

Most domestic laws, including laws on nationality, are affected as
political rights addressed by international human rights conventions.
Nationality is the main component of the people's corner in the country. Under
the international conventions governing the provisions of nationality and its
freedom to regulate matters of nationality in the interests of the Iraqi state, the
State law No. 26 of 2006 was enacted and this law responded to many internal
circumstances at the expense of international standards.
