Abstract

It is known the international humanitarian law provides many aspects of essential assistance and guarantees for war-torn countries, especially in light of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic. The international organizations sought to provide humanitarian aid and relief to countries that the pandemic poses an additional threat to them. In this context, the International Organization of the Red Cross has taken a lot of precautionary measures to provide assistance in countries where wars have ravaged health systems. People who displaced by conflict are crowded into places where life-saving resources are scarce, such as clean water, soap and medicine. In addition, the ability of health systems, exhausted by the conflict, to detect, deal with, and follow-up disease cases diminishes, which in turn increases the risk of infection spreading.
The International Committee of the Red Cross fears the worst-case scenario of those in prison and camp residents for the displaced, and the health systems in conflict settings such as Syria, Yemen, South Sudan, northeast Nigeria, Afghanistan, and others.
