The Corona virus swept the world by surprise, and a state of chaos prevailed among various sectors, including the criminal judiciary, which was affected in many countries, and this pandemic has caused profound transformations in many aspects of life, of which the law, with its legislation and procedures, is an essential part. Some countries were able to adapt its legislation, taking advantage of its achievements and the available technical solutions to confront this crisis and its repercussions. They provided electronic systems aimed at completing various criminal procedures and completing all transactions related to them remotely. However, the use of these means needs a legal basis and an amendment to the traditional legislation in force, including the approved mechanisms, regulating these procedures, and clarifying the conditions and guarantees for the validity of the procedures taken using these technologies.
